I am just a newbie in here and never had thought of saying this in here. But, on my own opinion, I just want to say or warn you about bringing any digital things with you when going for a rafting trip or kayaking. My friend just lost his camera without knowing it. He probably lost his camera on the fast and furious part of the river.

So sorry to hear this. Yes, one has to be extra careful with those things. If not tied to the body objects can get easily lost without -like your friend- even noticing it...

But I think your mobile phone and the camera is essential things for any trip. Can I use water proof versions of such things.
