I am usually looking into buyin my first dirt bike and I am wonderin what size bike I need to get for my size. I am about 250lbs, shuold I get a 250?

For prospective, my 2003 XR400R manual gives 220 lbs. Besides for maximum load (rider + gear). I go about 222 lbs. with all my gear on.

geesh..I am 140 also but ride a 100..where does that put me besides bein a goon on a bike..

IF it's a 2-stroke atleast a 250cc.

If you plan on going 4-stroke I would highly suggest a 426 or 450....you will be much happier than with a 250cc four stroke.

It's small, easy to pickup after it's screws up and crashes me. Maybe sometime in the future I shall want to go faster and jump futrher, na, no I won't!

with your weight you need a 450, its not the best bike to learn on but if you get a 250f you'll be hatin it!
or 2-stroke def a 250 dont even consider a 125..

You better get a big bike. Id go at least 250 but prob. more.
