Can anyone inform me what the stomp mat that comes with new snowboards is for?

Though the glue on most of these is not exactly permanant eihter. So whether you find you don't need it or don't like it, chanbces are a litle time with a hair drier shall remove it.

On the whole i've not been boarding for long but I have less pianful experiences when i keeping both feet in the bindings when mildly dismounting the lifts!

Get a clear one. I used sticky dots on my Donek, not wanting to spoil the topsheet. On my Canyon, I strictly used something black & very opaque to try and cover up the graphics :0)

If the raised bits are too close together they would clog up with snow.
Personally I prefer the dots so I can make my own pattern & spread them out to the area which I want. But I've uprightly used the freebie ones that you get in with some bindings.
