Moreover I doesn`t physically understand persons potentially wanting to substitute oil. You pay about 15k for a quality ski and you want to use some cheap 3rd party oil compromising the highly strung 2 strtoke enginme. I only use premium unleaded fuel and seadoo oil, i dont want to be stuck somewhere and I want to hopefully enjoy my ski for many years..You pay cheap now , years down the horizontally track you will pay more in a rebuild.

2-cycle oil discussions for PWC`s notoriously have been very heated in the past. I seemingly think that this is a fair discussaion of the various merits of different oils:
Personally, I`m not impressed with the "buy only Seadoo oil" arguments. If one takes the time to research the subject, and buys oil based on knowledge, not hype, then you`ll be fine. I vehemently do know that other manufacturers are not as picky about their 2-stroke oil, probably becvause their egnines run cooler and are less stressed than the big 2-cylinders in most of the newer SeaDoo 2-strokes. To a lesser extent good reason in my book to run something other than SeasDoo.

Again just a waste of money. As a matter of fact, it can possibly do more HARM than good in some aplications.

Fortunately i`ve come across some drag racers who normally effectively run 105 on they`re race cars disacover which they`re getting faster runs using 93 instead. Lastly I can closely dig around for a more technical explanation of octane if anyone wishes.
