i have a serious problem, im obsessed with my jetski and anything that relates to it.. people dont think of skis as being top speed monsters,, modded skis break 70-80 mark all the time if set up properly, a hand full break 90+,,well triple digit speeds were just broken a couple weeks ago.... if anyones interested i know where to get you a 103mph jetski for a mere 65,000 no joke

That's great. Are there that few existing that can do that mph that they are that expensive?

You did the 106mph 'ride'?

well theres only one that goes 106 mph,,, its actually not using a standard jetpump, it uses a surface prop, so its like a very small baja boat.... the one that "was" for sale is at 103mph, and that uses a standard jetpump....no i havent ridden them yet, but at MUDBUG, which is the sturgis for jetskis i will have a chance to ride it...

those skis are no longer available for sale, to much liability.....

a jetpump utilizes 40% of the power you supply it.. a prop uses 90% of the power available..... so the boat thats going 106, its motor is almost stock,, the one thats at 103 uses a jetpump like all jetskis, and its motor has about 40k in it... so basically a guy came up with a whole new propulsion system for skis and is blowing everyone away,,,,, its very exciting in the jetski world i have a prop kit reserved for my ski so hopefully soon ill have a 100+mph ski also

Thank you for the explanation So you think the 'old system' will be redundant one time and all jet skis will be working on the surface prop method?

well im not sure if it will hit the mainstream hard,, if you take the jetpump away the agility of the ski goes down,,, no more 360's, no more splashing, no more shallow water riding, due to the rudder....it wont be a typical jetski so i dont think people will have as much "fun"... but if you like to fly its the only way to go...... also it will push the speeds up on all skis equipped with a prop, so for safety issues and legal stuff im not sure if the coast guard would like skis cruising around faster than their boats can go......only time will tell.....

the old system certainly wont be redundant, all the sanctioned events will be "jetskis" for a long time,,, with the prop ski theres a big propeller just spinning right behind the rider with no protection, so its as unsafe as you can get..
