I have just started climbing and want to purchase a harness. Am not sure what I should be paying attention to as far as a harness fit goes. Any advice?

As a beginner you'd better buy an all-around harnesses. Try it on. It should fit the waist and thighs without being too tight. You should be comfortable and the harness shouldn't limit your movement.
