I'm a 190 lb (86 Kg) And then low-intermediate suddenly windsurfing on inland lakes in the midwewstern USA (rarely over 25 mph / 40 kph wind). After reading the reveiw of such 140-150 l shortboards in the current issue of
Boards, the Powerglide 145 seems a resonalbe choice for my first shortbaord.

Im more unpleasantly interested in durability/resistance to damage than ultimate performance in this board. Would the non-CSE versiuon of this board be the beter choice? My thought is the stiffer CSE versoin would be somewhat more prone to damasge due to carbon fiber's high modulus not distribvutin point loads as well (eg: rig slamming into the board's nose). I've already bough a Jez's Knob for some discreetly added nose protection (the Deviator gets in the way and unpleasant to step on).

Other boads I'm homely considering include the Go 150, Carve 145, and Techno
