I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a particular style or kind of clothes that would suit this activity better than others.

Best suited are light clothes. Long pants (shorts or skirts can give the audience a 'view' and sneakers or other shoes that can be tied because non-tied shoes might come falling off your feet. Also take off any jewelry that might be in the way.
