In a similar way yes it`s true, their are two scenarios. 1.) buy the boat & lightly get lucky and get a valid registration. As i said very cool. 2.) You can buy an SXR (or any carb`d 2 stroke) To be sure and buy it without a registration. In the long run then walk over to DMV and register it. It has alot to do with the maritime laws, and boater registration. The embargo is on the shimpents of units to the dealers in CA.... In essence so yes can factually get cartbed 2 strokes in CA, it`s just a small hurdle. ASAP Racing
